PERU – Multiple Departments throughout the area rushed to the scene of a reported house fire in Dimmick Township Thursday night. Crews were called after 8 PM to the 400 block on North 35th Road after a neighbor noticed smoke coming from the residence. According to Peru Fire Chief Jeff King no injuries were reported and the damage was limited in the home. Crews were on site less than two hours. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
