According to a new study, 86% of dog owners say that their dog is “one of their BEST FRIENDS.” Truly . . . not just in the generic “man’s best friend” sense. 67% of dog owners said their dog qualified because they’re “always there.” Others say it’s because their dog is a “great companion” and “very loving.” In general . . . with other humans included . . . Americans say the top qualities of a best friend are: Laughter . . . loyalty . . . reliability . . . support . . . and kindness.
