THOMASBORO – The Illinois State Police say a fatal hit-and-run remains unsolved that occurred on Interstate 57 in downstate Champaign County. In the early morning hours of May 31st, they say they were called to the southbound lanes near Thomasboro where a passing motorist noticed a car off the roadway in the ditch. Troopers located 32-year-old Kendrick D. Jones of Arkansas deceased on the shoulder nearby. Authorities say a suspect vehicle has been identified as a 2010-2015 Gray or Silver Chevrolet Equinox with Illinois plates. Anyone with any information on this fatal crash is asked to contact the Illinois State Police.
