OTTAWA – LaSalle County State’s Attorney Todd Martin on Tuesday asked the LaSalle County Board Finance Committee to consider a budget increase for staffing the department. Martin said that this matches what was in the budget until November 30th 2020, but had become reduced on December 1st. The Finance Committee advised transferring $200,000 from the Public Safety Fund into the General Fund, then raising the line item budget for payroll in the State’s Attorney Office. The motion will be sent to the full LaSalle County Board for approval.
