OGLESBY – Grace Sparling of Spring Valley was elected president recently in sophomore Student Government Association online elections at Illinois Valley Community College.
Isabel Lueck of Oglesby was elected vice president, Gorge Leon of Ottawa, secretary, Naomi Ochuba of Peru, treasurer, Reid Tomasson of Oglesby, sophomore representative, and Gabrielle Englehaupt of Ladd, sophomore programming board member.
“With multiple events such as COVID-19 and the security breach occurring at the end of spring semester, SGA delayed election of sophomore positions until this fall,” said Cory Tomasson, coordinator of student activities.
“The winners are highly active and successful students. I believe this group will effectively represent the student body throughout the academic year and provide opportunities for students to remain engaged,” Tomasson added.
