Millions of lights sparkle during the Festival of Lights
One of the largest lighted holiday events in the Midwest returns to Central Illinois at the 32nd annual East Peoria Festival of Lights, running from November 26th thru December 31st.
Celebrate the holidays with a million sparkles of excitement during the 32nd annual East Peoria Festival of Lights.
Parade of Lights November 19th – The parade of lights kicks off the start of the Festival of Lights and the holiday season at 5:45pm. Approximately 30 lighted floats will illuminate the streets of East Peoria along a three-mile parade route on Washington Street. Don’t miss this one-night only opportunity!
Folepi’s Winter Wonderland November 24th thru December 31st – Open Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. Drive-through this spectacular holiday attraction in an electric park featuring lighted displays and floats. Tune to 107.5 for festive holiday music while you drive thru! Hours: 5-9 Sunday thru Thursday and 5-11 Friday and Saturday. They accept cash, credit/debit cards. All vehicles are $10 except for full size charter buses which are $150 Reservations for individuals or groups call 800.365.3743 and tour guids for the Winter Wonderland are available for $30 by advance reservation only.
Folepi’s Enchanted Forest November 26th thru December 31st – East Peoria’s Levee District is home to this display featuring a 35 foot tall Christmas tree, real lighted trees and parade floats. Admission is free. The official lighting is at 5:45pm November 26th with carols by the Caterpillar Employees Mixed Chorus!
Narrated Nativity Scene November 24th thru December 31st – Handmade attraction maintained by a dedicated volunteer base. Tune into 1610am to hear a two minute narration at the scene. Admission is free.
