The iPhone 14 and the newest generation of Apple Watch have a feature that calls 911 for you if it detects you have been in a car accident.
The newer devices use something called a “high G-force accelerometer” that detects front, side, rear-end collisions, and rollovers.  It triggers a call to 911 and your emergency contacts that you have been in an accident.  You only have 20 seconds to disable the call when it is activated.
