SAN ANTONIO – The kindness of one local Dollar General employee caught the attention of corporate and has now landed a $1,000 donation in the hands of the San Antonio Food Bank.
Dollar General announced its donation of $1,000 Tuesday to the San Antonio Food Bank on behalf of fresh facility private fleet driver Martin Robles.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Robles and his daughter found out there are people in her classroom can’t get hot meals at home.
So, the father-daughter duo put up a lemonade stand and raised $570 to donate to the food bank.
After Dollar General corporate heard of Robles’ generosity, they decided to honor him with the additional donation to the food bank of its own.
