PERU – A fire in a home on Tuesday caused significant smoke but no injuries in Peru. The Peru Fire Department were called to the 3000 Block of Parkside Drive around 3:30 PM after receiving a 911 call. Upon arrival, authorities found an active fire and heavy smoke inside. Crews were on scene about 90 minutes and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
