IVCC Real Estate Broker Pre-License Class

      Illinois Valley Community College’s Continuing Education Center offers Real Estate Broker Pre-License (REA-1200-300) 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 19 through May 11 and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, Feb. 20 and March 27. The 75-hour class will prepare students for entry into the field. Serena United Methodist Church Pork Chop Supper

  There will be a drive-through Pork Chop  (or Hot Dog) Supper on Saturday, November 14th from 4-6 p.m. at the Serena United Methodist Church, 2259 E. Fiddlerock Free Concert

Party for a Cause – Benefit for John Wood

John Wood was in a motorcycle accident on August 6th and was told that he will likely never walk again.His family and friends are holding a benefit on October 10th at the Rockford Oddfellow’s Lodge in Rockford. There will be both inside and outside activities, with masks required inside. The benefit is from 5p-11p.

L.E.A.S.E Preschool Team Free Screening

The LaSalle/Putnam County Educational Alliance for Special Education (L.E.A.S.E.) Preschool Team is conducting a free screening August 27th. This is for all 3,4, and 5 year-olds not enrolled in kindergarten. This child’s speech, language, hearing, vision, and general readiness development will be assessed. Ranson Grade School Student School Supply Drop Off

Parents and guardians may bring student supplies to the front door of the building, 400 S. Lane Street, between 9am and 2pm. Parents of students with last names beginning with A-L should drop off supplies from 9-12. Parents of students with last names beginning 12:30-2.   All parents are required to complete a symptom check list. The supply lists are located on the grade school website.

LaSalle Dumpster for Perished Food

The city of LaSalle will have a dumpster placed in the parking lot on the north side of Maple Street near Hegeler Park for any LaSalle resident needing to dispose of perished food starting Thursday morning until Friday afternoon.
