Children ages six through 14 who have experienced the death of a family member or someone else close to them are invited to attend the “My Treasure Chest” workshop being planned by Illinois Valley Hospice.
Led by hospice social workers Dawn Moutray and Lisa Casford and scheduled for 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, October 13, in the IVCH 6th Street office building at 1305 6th Street in Peru, the workshop is an activity that allows children to remember their loved ones by creating their own unique treasure chest of memories.
There is no charge to attend the workshop. Illinois Valley Hospice provides all materials and lunch. Each participant is asked to bring a photo or small keepsakes of their loved one.
