Nearly three decades after the film Friday became a comedy classic, Ice Cube and Mike Epps are reuniting for a one-night celebration honoring the beloved franchise.
The event, titled ‘Everyday’s Friday: Lyrics, Loungin’ and Laughing,’ will take place July 17 at the Long Beach Amphitheater and will also feature appearances from Warren G and Scarface.
The evening will combine live music and comedy, with Ice Cube performing some of his biggest hits while Mike Epps delivers a featured stand-up set. The event also builds excitement for the future of the franchise, hinting that a new chapter is in the works. Fans attending the show are encouraged to dress as their favorite Friday characters for a chance to win cash prizes worth up to $2,000.
First released in 1995, Friday became a major pop-culture phenomenon thanks to its relatable storytelling and unforgettable characters. Ice Cube’s Craig Jones and Mike Epps’ later addition, Day-Day, helped turn the series into a lasting favorite across multiple generations.
Ice Cube shares: “Friday has always been about and for the fans who made it a classic and kept it alive for nearly 30 years. To be able to step back out there with Mike Epps and bring that energy to the stage for a one-night-only experience in Long Beach is special. This show represents the beginning of the next chapter.”
