Police Arrested a Woman Who Stole a Service Dog

Police in New Hampshire have arrested a 56-year-old woman named Christine Powers for allegedly stealing someone’s service dog from a Walmart. It’s unclear why she took the dog.
The dog’s owner briefly stepped away from her cart in the checkout line, and that’s when Christine snatched the dog and took off.
Fortunately, the police later found the dog with Christine.  The dog was unharmed, and was reunited with its owner.
Christine was charged with theft.  She also faces charges in Pennsylvania for allegedly violating probation after a theft conviction.  It’s unclear if that was another service dog, or if she’d stolen something else.
