Winter storm set to impact area; warning issued

OTTAWA – A late January winter storm is set to impact North Central Illinois, bringing with it heavy snow and gusty winds. The National Weather Service will be issuing a Winter Storm Warning for the area beginning Monday afternoon for the storm that potentially could bring up to 8″ of snow and wind gusts as high as 35 mph. Travel and visibility are expected to be difficult as the snow is expected to be heavy and wet over the next 24 hours.
