OTTAWA – 8 new coronavirus-related deaths were reported Tuesday in LaSalle County, a new record high for daily death counts in the county. 125 new confirmed and probable cases were also reported, for a total of 4,877 cases since the start of the pandemic, with 106 COVID-19 related deaths and 2,674 recoveries. Throughout Illinois, 12,601 new confirmed and probable cases were announced along with 97 additional deaths. As of Monday evening, 5,887 individuals in Illinois were in the hospital with COVID-19 with just over 1,000 in the ICU and 545 on ventilators.
