Eight new COVID-19 cases in Livingston County so far this month

PONTIAC – There have been eight new COVID-19 cases found in Livingston County since the beginning of the month.   That’s according to the Livingston County Health Department, who made the announcement Monday.  The individuals include a male in his 20s, female in her 20s, female in her 40s, and male in his 40s, as well as a female in her 40s and three children under the age of 10 who were asymptomatic at the time of testing.   There have been 94 infections found since the pandemic began, with 81 of the previously reported confirmed cases have been removed from isolation, eleven cases remain active, and, sadly, two cases have resulted in death due to complications related to COVID-19. All current active cases are recovering in isolation.

As of August 3, 2020, the LCHD has received 4,526 COVID-19 test results. Of that, 94 COVID- 19 tests have been confirmed positive and 4,432 tests confirmed negative.
