Saturday, April 21, 2018 The LaSalle County Genealogy Guild will meet at The Guild Library, 115 Glover St, Ottawa at 1:00pm. Our speaker for April will be Maureen Brady. The title of her presentation is “Tapping the power of family search.” She as over 35 years experience with family history research, is a professional genealogist and owner of Bare Roots Genealogical Services. Maureen has made numerous presentations to Illinois and Wisconsin genealogical societies and libraries. Her parents are William James Brady, Sr and Gertrude Hunter. William was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1901. gertude was born in Chicago in 1915, the native citizen of her family. Gertude’s parents and brothers all immigrated from Aberdeen, Scotland between 1910 and 1913. All are welcome to our meetings.
